Our Pastor

Pastor Ed Kuhar and his wife, Patti, were married in 1977 and moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2000. They have three children—two happily married and one teenager who is about to launch into adulthood. Pastor and Patti also have five wonderful grandchildren.
Pastor Kuhar is a graduate of Piedmont Baptist College with a Bachelor of Arts (‘04) and a Master of Arts (’05) in Biblical Studies. He recently completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Maranatha Baptist Seminary in Watertown, WI. Before coming to West Haven, he served the Lord for three years as an interim pastor and senior pastor at Cornatzer Baptist Church while also serving as a college professor, a role he has held since 2005. In 2009 he was active in the founding of Grace Baptist Bible College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and currently teaches there as an adjunct professor.
Pastor Kuhar and his family began their ministry at West Haven in March 2016, and they are thrilled to be here. It is his great desire to see people enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grow as disciples of Jesus, and ultimately please Jesus with their lives.
